This past weekend we went to Byron's cousin, Dennis, mission homecoming. They had a get together Saturday night. Dennis was gracious enough to get all the young cousins a hand stiched hat from Peru where he served. That was very kind of him and very generous as there are several cousins. Landen won't wear his and that is why he is crying in this picture because I was forcing him to sit there and wear it.

After Dennis' homecoming party, Byron and I were able to go on a much needed date. We haven't gone alone somewhere in a very long time. I can't even remember the last time we went on a date. A few friends from Byron's work were all getting together to go bowling. So we decided to join them. It was lots of fun. I haven't bowled for probably 8-10 years. So it has been a very long time. The first game we played, I got a strike the very first bowl and then from then on out, I got maybe one or two pins. It was so embarrasing. I couldn't figure out my problem. My high score was 29. I know how pathetic. The second game, it hit me to use a smaller ball. Well, DUH! Why I didn't do that way earlier beats me. The second game I got a 93. Yes, that isn't great, but it is a whole lot better than 29. And besides, everyone else was getting a score around mine. So we were all average bowlers. I didnt' get any good pictures of us bowling, because Byron was embarassed that I had my camera there. He hates pictures, but I don't care. So I told him that I would only take a few and then he could go put it back in the truck. What a grinch!

I am glad you took your camera. You needed to remember that event. I always wish that I had mine with me, so I am glad you remembered it so we could see how cute you looked. Glad you had fun bowling. I have been thinking of taking my kiddos to the bowling alley, I think they would really enjoy it:)
wow 29 Shannon. Byron needs to get over having memories taken :)
I love bowling. You sound like my kind of bowler too! We should do a big cousins date sometime. It would be fun!
How fun for you guys to go on a date! It doesn't happen very often for us, either.
Shannon!! You have ALWAYS been a personal FAVORITE of mine! I am so happpppppy you found me among sooo many blogs!! I LOVE YOU! Your family is BEAUTIFUL! :) I added you to my blog so now we can stay in touch! :) HAPPY DAY! :)
29 sounds like me. Bowling is so much fun as long as you don't stay with gutter balls all night like I do. Our little town of Overgaard is getting a bowling alley! We don't even have a traffic light but we're getting a bowling alley and resturant...crazy
the hats for the kids are so neat, its not everyone that has one from Peru. You'll just have to save them for the kids.
Just wondering, did he happen to come home on the 20th? I have no idea who he is but I was at the airport picking up my S.I.L. and there were like 5 different missionaries coming home and one of them was a Singleton! I wanted to ask them but felt kind of stupid, plus it was really hectic there. Anywho, glad you guys got a date and the hats are really cool. talk to you later!
I just looked on your blog. It has been along time and you had a ton of pics and comments. It was fun reading about your family. Your little Sydney is a doll baby! Beautiful pictures.
Tell Byron and Landen thanks for suffering through the pictures, we sure appreciate them! :) Sounds like a good time...everyone needs a good date! Those hats are too cute!
p.s. Do you have Cammy's phone #? If so can you e-mail it to me please? Thanks!!

I loved getting to see you yesterday! It was so funny that Michelle didn't know where she knew me from. Next time I'll have to mention something about choir sophmore year when we met. :) Your babies are adorable! I told my mom that I got to see you and she was so jealous.
