Evan Jared Perkins

Well this morning around 6:30 ish Allison gave birth to Evan Jared Perkins. He weighed 7 lbs 1 oz. However, since he is a little early, his lungs were still premature. So he wasn't breathing for a little while. They gave him a shot to soften his lungs and then he began to breath on his own. He was air vacced (spelling not sure) to Flagstaff since the Mesa hospital is too full. Gerald and Allison are on their way there now. Poor Allison has to travel in a vehicle after just giving birth. But she is doing well. They are just worried for their little son. The doctors say he is going to be just fine. My mom said he looks healthy and looks like Halee. She said he has dark hair like Halee too. So in the meantime if everyone could just keep them in your prayers and pray for a quick and healthy recovery so they can return back home.

This is Landen and his second cousin, Brianna, once removed(I guess that's what it would be). I babysat on Friday for Byron's cousin Chris and his wife Tiffany. I watched Brianna, who is a month younger than Landen, Bridget is two, Brooke is four and Ashlie is 10. Luckily, Byron's little sister Kaylyn came over to help me. They were a littel rowdie in the morning, but then we walked to the park and stayed there for a while. Then we came back home and fixed lunch and watched Ice Age. Then by some miracle all of them fell asleep, including Landen, around the same time. So I had peace and quite for two hours. Then their grandma came and got them. What a busy day.

This year we had Thanksgiving at the Singleton's house with Byron's dad's side of the family. I made two apple pies and two pumpkin pies. However, only one of each got eaten. I guess the Singleton's aren't big pie eaters. Well now that Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is on its way. I can't believe it. Another year is almost over. Time to go shopping! Yeah! Except I have no idea what to get Byron.
This is my four generation picture of the Singleton boys. They are all first borns except for Byron's granddad. Byron was saying how it is weird that there is a bigger gap between his y0unger brother Jared and himself than there is between Jared and Landen. Byron and Jared are 14 years apart and Jared and Landen are 11 years apart. Crazy huh!
Now I just need to have a little girl so I can get a four generation picture with my mom and grandma.

The cuttest thing happened yesterday. I was holding Landen sitting on the couch. Landen was facing Byron cooing and making all kinds of cute little noises to him. Everytime I would turn Landen around to look at me, he would whine and get mad at me. The second I turned him back to Byron's attention he was all happy again and started talking again to Byron. He sure does love his Daddy. I think sometimes he probably gets sick of seeing my face all day and when Daddy comes home, a new face he is so excited. Landen is so much fun. We LOVE him SO MUCH!!!! I love being a mommy.

I can't believe Landen is already three and half months old. He is scooting a little bit everyone once in a while. It takes him forever to scoot like two inches. By then he is screaming and wants me to pick him up. He can roll over from his stomach to his back sometimes. This has only occurred on random times, it's not a everyday thing yet. He has outgrown his cradle sadly. One morning last week I woke up to find the cradle tipped a little bit and he was crunched up to one side with his arm sticking out of the bars. Not to worry, it was next to my bed so it wasn't tipped too far to be dangerous. But it was tipped, so that means his is moving in his sleep. I don't want to put him in his crib in his bedroom just yet, because I think he is too far away from me. My mom laughs at me and says he isn't too far away, which he really isn't since my apartment is so small, but I like to have him close. So he gets to sleep with me, which doesn't allow me to get much sleep. So I guess I will just have to give in and move him to his room.

Yesterday, Byron's brother Ben got married to Kristin Pew. The wedding was really nice and the reception was decorated really pretty. It was fun. We wish the best of luck to Ben and Kristin on their new journey.

Well this entry is a week past due, but hey I've been busy. Last Saturday, those of us in the picture were involved in the Juevenile Diabetes Research Foudation walk. We walked three miles. The weather was perfect for such a walk. It was beautiful outside. I was able to raise over three hundred dollars, thanks again to those of you who donated.
Next year I hope to be more organized. I would like all of my siblings to be involved and walk with us. I would like to get matching shirts that say something about Brandon and Anthon and their lives with diabetes. And hopefully I will be able to raise more money. My original goal was $1000.00, but I obviously didn't reach that very close. Anyways, the walk was fun and it was nice to enjoy Arizona's perfect fall weather.
