Girls Getaway
This past Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, my sisters, my mom, and myself were able to get away for a few days. It was ABSOLUTELY blissfull. We stayed at the Orange Tree Golf Resort. It was kinda like an apartment so it was nice to have such a large space for all of us. We checked in Wednesday evening and unloaded all of our luggage and then went to dinner. We ate at My Big Fat Greek Restaurant. It was good, but not like, Oh Wow that was so good! So I don't think I will be going back. Price wise I would rather go to PF Chang's. Then we went to the grocery store to get some food for breakfast and lunch the following day. We went back to our hotel and went swimming.

The water was PERFECT!!! After we went swimming we watched a movie that we had rented. We watched "He's just not that into you." I wouldn't recommend that movie to anyone. Thursday, we woke up around 8. I finally got to sleep in. Yeah. We went swimming all morning, came back in to eat lunch and then went swimming for two more hours. We then came back in and got all dressed up and went to the mall. Then we went and ate at PF Chang's. YUMMY!

This place is one of my favorites. Then we came back to our hotel and watched "Mall Cop." That was a nice humerous movie. Friday morning, we went and got a massage. Wonderful. Then we had to sadly, part and go our seperate ways. I had to go pick up my kids at Byron's parents house. What a very nice break from my kids and wonderful time with my mom and sisters. Thanks mom for the vacation and thank you Byron and Byron's family for watching my kids.

Since I have picked up the kids, it is like Landen is trying to get back at me for leaving him for three days. He has had at least one - two potty accidents since I have been home. And not just pee, but poop also. Very frustraing. I asked him if he wanted me to put a diaper on him and he said yes and then kept begging for a diaper. What is going on with this kid. He was doing so well for a long time and then I leave and he decides he doesn't want to use the toilet anymore. ARGH!!!
Do these two look like they could be related or what. I watched Roman on Saturday and put his Sign Language DVD on. These two loved it apparently.

Short Update
I have been meaning to post about this for a while now. Landen is FINALLY potty trained. I tried the "Potty training in three days" program. Well it actually took my little man three weeks to fully grasp it and have no accidents. Kind of funny, but in the beginning of training, he would just hold it in for hours and hours. And then when he would finally go, it would be a lake full. He wouldn't even go during the night. So that was pretty nice. But thankfully he has learned to get up on the toilet all by himself and go when he needs to.
I told Landen to smile and this is what I got. Ha ha silly boy! This is his reward chart. Everytime he went to the bathroom without me asking if he needed to go, he would get a sticker. One for pee and two for poo. The big reward is a bike. Sadly we have not yet bought that yet. We looked at Walmart once, and they were all too big for him. I saw one at Fry's on sale and wished I had bought it cause now it is gone. I'll have to look around some more. His birthday is in August, so maybe he'll just have to wait till then to get his bike.
Landen loves to help me cook and clean. In his words he tells me this: "My making rolls mama!" Just the other day I was looking at him and thought, wow he is getting so much taller. I can't believe my little man is going to be three in five weeks. CRAZY!!!
Sydney is growing up too fast. She is officially nursery age now. Even though she has actually been going with Byron and Landen since she was about 14 months. However, since she is officially of age now, I decided to put her in her age group class. I went with her the first Sunday. (they needed me to help the nursery leader out anyways) and then this past Sunday I took her in there, she saw some toys so I escaped. I checked on her once and she was doing just fine. After church was over I asked the teacher how she did and she said she kinda whimpered a few times and liked to be held but she never cried. HOORAY!!! She is talking so much more. I think she is saying more words at her age than Landen did at the same age. She must be learning from her big brother. Some words you can understand and some you can't. And some only I can understand. Tonight as I was putting her to bed I said tell momma you love her and she mumbled some words. I asked her again and she mumbled the same words. So even though I can't understand her mumbles, I know that she was saying love you momma. Those sweet moments help the not so sweet moments get forgotten.
This is one of her not so sweet moments that I'm talking about. Now that her hair is a tiny bit longer I have been trying to put it in a pony tail. She hates it, but is getting used to it. One Sunday she didn't even squirm or cry, she actually let me fix her hair. But she really doesn't like it when I try to take her picture. She must take after her Aunt Shauna.(she hated getting her picture taken when she was little. she would run and hide every time you got the camera out.)

Sorry I said this was a short update, but it turned out being a little longer that expected. Oh well.

Win a Harvest 72"
want to win a Harvest 72" rotation shelf. Well go to this link http://www.shelfreliance.com/blog/ and see how you can enter a sweepstake to win a harvest 72" shelf. This shelf is absolutely wonderful. It can hold up to 600 cans. That will surely clear out your cupboards and make room for other food storage items.
