December

Landen and his marshmallow snowman
December was full of lots of fun activities.  We started the month out by making gingerbread houses out of graham crackers and marshmallow snowmen.  The kids loved making them, and then especially eating them. YUM!!
Sydney and her marshmallow snowman

However, Sydney doesn't look so excited here.  Ha ha!
Landen and Sydney have been going to preschool at the High School this year.  Here we are at their Christmas Party.

 Silly Josiah!!!
Presents from Grandpa and Grandma Perkins.  (Early presents since we went out of town for Christmas.)

Josiah all bundled up in his snow clothes.

So here is what has gone on in December. My sister in law Kaylyn moved in with us to help me with the house cleaning and taking care of the kids.  She has been great to have around to help me with these things.  Being pregnant is no fun when you are so sick you can't even take care of your family.  I basically either sleep or lay on the couch most of the day.  The pills are helping me a little bit.  Every day is different on how I feel.  Some days, poor Kaylyn is bored out of her mind.  Hopefully she will be able to make some friends and once I am feeling better she can go hang out with them, or if Byron is home she can go do things also.
It has snowed quite a bit already.  The kids are LOVING it.  Even if it sometimes seem like such a bother to put all of their snow clothes on for a few minutes, for Sydney and Josiah anyways.  Landen could stay out side and play in the snow all day if I would let him.
The kids had a preschool Christmas party.  They loved it.  They sang Christmas songs, had a gift exchange and then had cookies and other snacks.
Sydney  has been doing dance this year, ballet  She is loving it. This month she only had two practices, so for the rest of the month,  she would ask me;do we have dance today?  She was sure missing it.  I love to see her dancing to music.  She will stare at herself dancing.  It so cute and funny.  She mainly dances in the kitchen, pulling the towel off of the oven door so she can see herself dancing.  I know I was the same way when I was her age.  I remember coming home from school as a little girl and my dad had this really long flat bed trailer on our street. I would stand on the trailer and dance and sing and pretend I had an audience watching.  So funny!
We had a lot of family Christmas parties this year.  However, we didn't go to any of them.  Byron had to work, sadly.
We left for Phoenix on Christmas Eve to go spend Christmas with Byron's family.  They  kids had a wonderful, spoiled Christmas.  They always get way too many things.  I have decided that they will get a big present from Santa and then a present from Mom and a present from Dad, cause between  the Grandparents, Great Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles, they get WAY too many things.  Sadly, we were only able to stay till Monday. Christmas Eve, we didn't do much.  We need to start some of our own traditions I guess.  I have tried to incorporate some of my traditions that I grew up on into my own family, but most of them don't happen while at the in laws.  We went to Byron's grandparent's house on Sunday.  They always have all of the family over for Christmas dinner and lots of presents.  They sure do spoil their grandkids and great grandkids.  Dinner was supposed to be at 5, but we didn't start eating till almost 7.  By then I tried to eat, but was feeling sick.  I ended up throwing up and spent the rest of the evening laying down, except I did manage to just sit on the couch while everyone opened presents.  Why of why do I get pregnant in the winter.  3 out of 5 pregnancy's have been in the winter, so I am always sick over Christmas.  No fun at all.
The rest of the week we didn't do much. The kids loved not having to go to school and I loved not having to take them or pick them up.  Ha ha.  They played with their new toys and outside in the snow.
I can hardly believe that 2010 is already over.  See you next year!!! Goodbye 2010 and welcome 2011!

November

I obviously was a horrible picture taker this month. All I have is Sydney's birthday and a few random pics.
What I do remember is this is the month I became very ill. Pregnant ill. My house is a disaster all the time, I have no energy or anything to clean it. My poor kids are neglected and have to sometimes get a bowl of cereal for themselves. As most of you know, when I'm pregnant I get SICK REALLY BAD. Not just morning sickness, but all day and night sickness. You would think I would have stopped having babies by now, but what can I say I wanted another one for some reason. Luckily, we had insurance prior to my getting pregnant so I was able to go to the Dr. right as soon as I found out I was pregnant. He thank goodness gave me some medication, which helped, but by no means alleviated all of the symptoms.

For Thanksgiving, we went to my parents house. What a delicious meal and nice to relax with family. We are all messed up on our turn with family. Then on Friday, my inlaws and their kids came. We celebrated Thanksgiving again. I was so embarrassed with how my house looked, but they understood that I was in no shape to clean it. So to work they went, cleaning my dirty house. A huge thank you for all the work they did. Also, we arranged for Byron's sister, Kaylyn to come live with us to help me out with the kids and the house cleaning. So that is going to be a huge help. While the inlaws were here, we let Sydney open her present from them. She got a ballerina skirt, shoes, wand, new outfit, and a purse. She has been begging me to buy her some princess shoes so I had the grandparents get her some since I had already planned on getting her the magnetic paper dolls.
I still can't believe my baby girl is 4 years old now. My oh my how time is going by way too fast.

October Happenings

Sadly, since I am way behind on my blog and this post is back dated, I don't really remember what happened. So here are lots of pictures to show.

At some time during October, we went to the valley to visit with Byron's family. Here are the kids playing.

To bring in the season of fall, I had Sherry's kids, Hinkley and Ezra and another cousin Evan come over to decorate caramel apples and to play games. They all had lots of fun.

This is our dog Zeke, playing outside. See how he has chewed up that flower pot. He chews on EVERYTHING!!! I hate the puppy stage.

If you look really close, this is snow! I believe this was our first snow fall.

Random pics of my kiddos. Eating popsicles.

All dressed up for Halloween!!!!!

Landen - Spiderman, Josiah - Lion, Sydney - Cat

We went trick or treating with Sherry's family. We got lots of yummy candy!!!

Cute little Ezra, an angry bird. My so talented sister made Ezra and Hinkley's angry bird costumes.
