August
Well, I did it again. I've waited forever to update my blog again. I'm not sure why I can't keep up. I guess life just gets too busy. August was very busy for us. Landen turned 5. The kids are enrolled in preschool this year. Byron was gone again for a week so we spent it down in the valley having lots of fun. Byron and I celebrated our 7th anniversary this year also. We went to dinner at Claim Jumpers. I was really hoping it would taste so good, but it was just like any other meal. It was one of those meals that tasted really good, but not SO good that you had to have it again. Like PF Changs is one of those restaurants I could eat at every week if I could. We usually go to PF Changs for our anniversary, but I had heard Claim Jumpers was good so I wanted to try something different. Sadly, it didn't meet my expectations. After dinner we went to the movies and watched Harry Potter. LOVED IT!! So weird that they are done with that series.
Here are the pics that tell our story of this month's activities.
My sweet baby Josiah! I just love all his facial expressions.
It rained so the kids got on their rain boots and went and played in the puddles next door. It's an empty lot right now so there were lots of mud and puddles of water. They had a blast jumping and running in them.

Landen turned 5 this year. I wasn't very creative with his cake, but I just didn't have time or the energy to make a decorative one.

Josiah getting his FIRST hair cut/buzz. He didn't have much hair to begin with, but there were some long and wispy hairs and I just wanted it all shaved off so it could grow better. He did so well. No crying or anything and he sat so still for Byron. What a big boy!!

The kids first day of preschool. They are so excited. Sydney is a little scared so I might have to stay with her a little bit. I ended up staying the whole time. Lots of parents stayed the whole time too. The second day of preschool, Sydney did cry but I just left her there crying. Mean ole momma I know. But after that she did great. Now they run into the preschool room and don't even notice when I leave.

My big boy LOVES peaches. He could them all day if I would let him. But we all know the digestive aspects if he were to do that.
We were in the valley for a week while Byron was gone away for training in Georgia. So we had some fun. We went and hung out with my sister Shauna for a few days. We went to the mall and rode some of the rides there. We also went to the Sea Life Aquarium at Mills Mall. Those pics will be a post all by themselves. It was really cool. I'm glad they let Sydney go in for free. So all I had to pay for was Landen and myself. It was fun and cool to see all the fish, but SO not worth the expensive cost. And the kids had the most fun playing on the play ground at the end of the exhibit. You can go do that at any McDonalds or Chik-fil-a. Granted they did like looking at all the different kinds of fish, and of course Landen loved the theatre where you can watch episodes of Sponge Bob. We also spent lots of time at my in laws where the kids rode their power wheels that we had just bought them. Even though it was a 117 outside, they still rode those things till the battery's died.

My big boy combing his hair. He is so stinking cute. I just love him!!!
The Saturday that Byron got back from his training, we went to the temple for Tyler's temple endowments. What a wonderful experience. I just love going there and being inside. Wish I could just lock that feeling up and have it forever. Guess I'll just have to keep going to keep that wonderful feeling.
