A New Year

As always I'm late to post on Holidays.

Christmas was wonderful. We spent Christmas with Byron's family and stayed at their house Sunday through Thursday. We had a big dinner and lots of fun with presents at his mom's side of the family. Every year all the family gets together on Christmas for dinner and presents. It's nice to have someone else take care of your kids for you. Or at least keep them occupied. Byron's younger brother Jared sure did take good care of Landen for me while we stayed at their house. Jared is Landen's favorite. He won't leave the poor guy alone. Poor Jared was getting tired of him by the time Thursday began to roll around. Byron's mom and sister held Sydney for me alot. It was nice to have a break.

Byron's sister bought this for Landen. Everytime I sweep my floor, Landen thinks he needs the broom and then trys to sweep the floor. It's so cute. The broom talks when you sweep. It says stuff like "I'm sweeping Sam," "sweeping, sweeping," "You missed a spot." He loves to play with it. But he still likes my broom when I need to use it. Oh well.

Syndey turned a month old last Saturday, the 29th. I measured her and weighed her and according to my measurements she is now 9 lbs and 21.5 inches long. I can't believe she has gained two pounds and grown an inch and a half. My two favorite newborn outfits she can no longer wear. So sad. Her hair is getting slightly more red. She is starting to smile when you talk to her. I love it. She is a really good sleeper, at least compared to Landen. When Landen was a baby, he didn't sleep well at night at all. He just wanted to eat all night. Sydeny usually only wakes up twice during the night and if I'm lucky she will only wake up once. I'm so glad.

This picture I just had to post. Landen loves to give his baby sister some loves. He does really well with her. He gets jealous sometimes and it's hard when they are both tired or hungry. But overall, our days are pretty fun. I love to watch how Landen interacts with her.

Well what can we say about this picture that doesn't tell it all. I just had to post this to show that my sweet little boy isn't so sweet at times. We usually only post the good and happy pictures, but I had to post this one of my not so happy son. It makes me laugh looking at it.
