AHH! I'm 30!

This year I had to share my birthday with Mother's Day. Kinda stinks, but what can ya do. I tried to have a birthday party for myself two Friday's ago, but Landen ended up throwing up that day so I cancelled it. Good thing, cause that night Sydney started throwing up too. This past Saturday, Byron and I went to PF Changs for lunch. YUMMY! I love that place. My usual is Changs spicy chicken and I ask them to mix in onions and green bell peppers. Very delicious. Byron's ususal is orange chicken. I have been getting heartburn when I eat spicy foods, but not when I ate there. It must only be the tomato products that give me heartburn. We then went and watched Ironman 2. We had to wait in line for a little over an hour. We haven't done that in a very long time. It was a very good movie. I would totally recommend it. Thanks again Ben and Kristen for giving up your Saturday to watch our kids. Sorry we were gone so long.

I have to share with you some questions that Landen was asked in Sunbeams about his mom. They are so cute and funny.

1. My mom is as pretty as a _________ - hair brat. Ok. so what does that mean. I asked him about this later and it sounded to me like he was trying to say something about my hair and that it was black.

2. What is your favorite thing to do with your MOM? go to doctor. Ha ha poor child. He did just go to the doctor with me this past week and he liked listening to the baby's heart beat. I also had to go to urgent care this past week cause I got the flu really bad. So going to the doctor obviously was on his mind.

3. How do you know your mom loves you? kisses us

4. What is something mom always gives to you? gives me candy. true, but not totally. I don't let him eat it all the time.

5. What makes mom happy? eating candy. ha I had to laugh at this one. ok. not totally true. I really haven't been eating very much candy lately.

6. How old is your mom? 2 (put up three fingers)

7. How tall is your mom? tall this this (held up hands in air)

8. What is your mom's favorite food? applesauce. ha ha. again probably cause this was all I ate this past week since I had the flu.

9. What's your mom's favorite color? blue

10. How much do you love your mom? alot. good thing son. you better love me lots.

In nursery they made a hand print of Sydney's hand and put it on a tile. So very cute.

i love my kids. They are truly my world.

On another note; Byron finally came home from his trip to Ohio for some job training. He was gone for almost three weeks. It was a very long time and my kids behavior really did change due to his lack of being here. Of course, they loved it when he returned. He was only home for four days and sadly had to leave again. Byron started his new position in Flagstaff this past week. Sadly, we will only be seeing him on the weekends now. Sniff, sniff. We bought a new mobile home and will be living in that for the next who knows how many years in Flagstaff. So while financing and the building of that is going on, I will be moving to my parents house at the end of May and living with them until the mobile home is completed. That way we can try to save some money. It's going to be hard not seeing Byron all the time. Only seeing him on the weekends just isn't long enough. When Byron left last week, everytime Landen talked to him on the phone, he asked Byron - you coming home Dad? It was so sad. The kids are just too young to understand what is going on. So we have some rought times ahead, but it will all be worth it in the end.
