Well now that February is over I guess I better blog about what's been going on with us this past month.
Making Valentine cards for the grandparents.

Learning to crawl. Looks like he's doing push ups. (beginning of Feb)
Crawling (end of Feb)
My adorable little kids!
Getting a horse ride from Daddy!
Josiah walking with Landen.
Silly picture before church. See Landen's lovely tie with an orange sweater. Silly boy. He got himself dressed for church and would NOT let me change his tie. Oh well.

We went to the valley for a few days. Of course I didn't take any pics of our adventure. The trip was fast and filled of too much driving. The kids and I left Tuesday afternoon. We stayed at my inlaws that night. Wednesday, the kids had dental appts. Sydney needed some extra stuff done so that took the rest of my day. She wouldn't go under. She kept coming out of it. The Dentist said she is very strong willed (Byron says that's my fault; probably is lol) We stayed at my inlaws that night as well. Thursday morning we got up and drove to Mesa. We stayed at my sisters house. We spent the rest of the afternoon highlighting my hair and cutting it. Then we went to the mall to buy my cousin a baby shower gift. Friday, she highlighted my hair some more since she did layers, then she cut Sydney's hair. My cousin Katie and I got together for a little while. Then I went to my brothers house to see them for a few minutes then back to Glendale we went to eat navajo tacos for my brother in laws scouting fundraiser. On Saturday, I was told that it was going to snow 90% chance at 11:00 am in Flagstaff so we hurried and drove home cause I didn't want to have to drive in it. We got home around 1230 and it still hadn't snowed. It didn't snow till the night. I was kinda bummed. There were a few things and stores I had wanted to go to. Oh well. Byron was home alone and this was one of his weekends off so it was nice to be able to be home with him.

January Happenings cont.....
Byron's family came to stay with us for a few days. They all arrived on Friday the 14th. We celebrated Byron's 30th birthday and Christmas. Lots of fun. On Saturday we drove out to Sunset Crater Volcanic Monument Park. It was very cold, colder than it is here in Flagstaff, even though it is only like 20 minutes further north. It was so interesting to see how lava totally took over the habitat and how it looks when it is all dry. On Sunday we just went to church. Monday, we drove out to Wupatki National Monument. That was fun and neat to look at how the people built their homes and to read about how they lived.

JANUARY HAPPENINGS!!!!
WOW!!!I can't believe it's 2011 and now January is over already. This year is already going by way too fast. As I'm looking through my January pics I see that I should have posted some of these a long time ago. So that just means a long post.
We had a pretty big snow storm at the end of December and beginning of January. It's been a very long since I have driven in snow, and so I just stayed home as long as possible. Our pipes froze on New Year's Eve. We didn't have water for a few days. Thanks to my cousin Sharilyn for allowing me to come fill up my water containers a couple of times. Byron was on call that Sat. When he got home he had to crawl under our home and see why they froze, besides the fact that temperatures were below 0 the previous night. Apparently, one of the electrical pipe heaters was broken, thus frozen pipes. So he went to Home Depot to buy another pipe heater. He bought two. He attached them along the entire water pipe under our trailer. Thus to prevent another water freeze. Landen was right under the trailer with him the whole time. What a trooper. By then it was after 5pm and the sun had gone down so it was REALLY cold outside. It was so cold and he was so worn out that he left a few things unfinished. So if I wanted my pipes to thaw out I was going to have to take care of it. Which was fine since Byron is so worn out. Byron has been working like a million hours every week and it is just killing him. He is so worn out. So to be working a lot then to have to fix the frozen pipes, it just took the rest of whatever he had left, out of him. When he walked in the house, he just plopped down on the table bench. He started to shake and act really weird. His tongue was hanging out and his couldn't really talk. I swear he was in like a hypothermia shock or something like that. So I took his boots off, his snow pants and helped him walk to the couch. I had him lay down and I got a really heavy blanket for him. I hated seeing him like that. I broke down and told him how I hated how he works so much and too hard and I didn't care if they fired him he was NOT going to work the following day. He ended up getting sick with a fever and a cold. And he did NOT go back to work until Tuesday. It seemed to take forever for the pipes to thaw out. I had to go to Sharilyn house to shower before church. Thank goodness our church time just changed to 11:30 or else I wouldn't have made it if it was still at 9. By Sunday evening, we finally had water again. YEAH!!!
Once it warmed up a little, I finally let the kids go outside and play in the snow. They had a blast. Mostly Landen. He loves it. He will walk out of his way just to walk in a pile of snow.

EMERGENCY ROOM TRIP
Wednesday night, I put the kids to bed as usual, except I let them fall asleep in my bed. Well, then I heard Landen coughing like he was going to throw up so I went to go see if he was going to or not. When he saw me, in a panicked voice he says to me, "Mom, my throat hurts and my belly." So I asked him if he was going to throw up. He said, " No, I swallowed money." YOU SWALLOWED MONEY!! I went on to explain to him how we can't put things like that in our mouths because we could choke on it. I had him drink some water to make sure it went down all the way. (Ironically, just about two hours prior I had gone and picked up all the loose change and put it in a container. I guess I missed a penny on my book shelf) I didn't really worry about it anymore. I just figured it will just come out in a few days. I text my mom to ask her if he would be ok, and just let nature take its course. She called me and she and my dad were kinda worried. They thought I should get an xray to make sure. My Dad called his cousin who is a Dr. to ask what he thought. The Dr. thought I should get an xray tonight to make sure it wasn't stuck in his esophagus or that it went down the wrong tube into his lungs. So I called Urgent Care - closed. I called the Flagstaff Medical Center. They suggested calling poison control, since they aren't allowed to give advice. I called poison control. They too suggested I get an xray tonight. So here was my dilemma. Byron was in Phoenix for a court case. By now it's after 9 pm and all the kids are fast asleep. All Urgent Care facilities are closed. So my only choice is the ER. I had to wake up the children, put their shoes and coats on and drag them out in the cold to the ER. When we get to the ER, their signs are horrible so of course I park where I think the entrance is, only to find out we have to walk all the way around to the other side. Mind you it is FREEZING outside and windy, which makes the cold worse. I would have gone back to the truck and parked closer, but by the time I figured out where the real entrance was, it was closer to just keep walking rather than go back to the truck. We go inside, and of course they are busy. I think they must have had pity on a poor mother all alone with her three small children at 10:30 pm because we were able to get in within 45 minutes. We were also able to sit on the other side of the wall where no one else was sitting, mainly away from all the sick people. Then they put us in a private room with a door so my kids wouldn't wake up the patients. They were busy too so that was very nice. There were beds in the hallways with people in them. They came and took the xray and sure enough it was in his stomach. Whew!!! However, now I have to pick through his poop to make sure he passes it. YUCK!!! We were out of there by 12:30 and back in our warm beds by 1:00 am.
(side note, still hasn't passed it. Luckily he has only gone poop once so I haven't had to go through it very much) YUCKY YUCKY!!!

New Callings and a BIRTHDAY!!!
This past Sunday, Byron and I had to speak in church. I knew we would soon, since we are new in our ward. We also have received callings. I was called to be the secretary in the Primary presidency three weeks ago. It's a pretty easy calling, except for the occasional paper work that has to be updated. Especially at the beginning of this month since it was a new year. But it is fun. Sydney thinks once she comes in for singing time that she has to come sit in the back with me. We will be working on changing that. Surprisingly, Landen stays up front and sits with his class. I can't believe that Landen is in CTR 4 and Sydney is a Sunbeam. How they are growing up way too fast.
This past Sunday we had to go to the Stake President's office to meet with one of the High Coucil members. Byron was thinking he would be put in the missionary program. Boy was he way off. He was called to be the second counselor in the Elders Quorum. I hope he will be able to do this calling since he works so much. He works every other weekend and is gone most nights. Im sure the Lord will make it all work out so he can fulfull his calling.
Today is also Byron's 30th birthday. Ha Ha now I can say he is old, even though he always makes a come back and say's I'm older. Oh well. Me being older just makes me wiser, right?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BYRON!!! I love you so much and am very lucky and happy to be your wife. I hope you have a wonderful day today. Love you lots.
